Finally on Sunday I got my Falcon Eyes big tripod and it stood all day at the IVRPA booth with my camera on top. In this particular image you can see how high it is, almost touching the ceiling of the Koeln Messe big hall.
4 Shot Pano, taken at Koelnmesse U Station, which services Trains 3 & 4. It was my daily arrival point for Photokina 2008. Shot handheld, 4 frames around, this must have been one of the quickest panos I've done. Special thanks to Aldo.
I couldn't miss visiting my friend Werner Seitz at his booth. I am a happy VR Drive user and it is great to see this company moving from the great analogue Roundshot cameras to the new digital Roundshots, 470 million pixels in 3 seconds? Wow... Also a great image from Matthias Taugwalder was exibited there, one more reason to visit the booth!
It is nice to see Leica busy again. Last Photokina I always went to lunch near Leica booth because so empty it was that I always managed to get served fast. Not this time around, good luck Leica.
While others had license to shoot, I had license to fish, and here I really did it! I particularly enjoy in this perspective having captured the girl attention and when rotating the image you can see also the shooting crowd captured quite nicely. To my surprise, the speaker at this booth nicely asked what was it and I explained a bit about the fishing I was doing and everybody liked the idea.
